iPhone Font
This is just nuts. This guy here not only bought a whopping 540 apps to make this possible, he made sure all the apps synced up in color to show off his custom font! Pretty amazing indeed but I'm slightly disappointed he skipped the W!
I'm Just a Bill
History in the making folks... healthcare reform has passed! What does this mean to everyone and how does it effect you? We're all guilty of coveting the hottest and latest sneaks, clothes, and cars (I'm guilty of that for sure). Sometimes we gotta take a step back and think about what's important. Now, I'm not sure how the new law will effect taxpayers, immigration, or even healthcare for that matter. Time will tell. Let's hope it's a good thing.
Speaking of coveting the hottest and latest sneaks... make sure you get the AJKOs that El Nino posted the other day. They drop this weekend!!
Now, time for some Schoolhouse Rock!

I posted this a long time ago on my personal blog but since I'm new to blogging here for the Kicks fam, I had to put y'all up on this...
Don't sleep on Dev. Don't even take a nap. She's a fireball...

Mulholland Drifting
Tanner Foust, Rockstar's in-house drifter, just released his masterpiece video of him drifting the famed Muholland Drive in our very own backyard. The slow motion scenes of him at the wheel of his 600hp Scion TC are NUTS!

It Runs In the Fam
Why am I not surprised that Russell Simmon's son, Diggy, can spit like this? Clever and updated take on Nas' "rhymebook".
He's 14.

...get it? It runs in the family... His dad is Reverend Run.... nevermind... just check out the video. Download his mixtape here...

Electro Wars Trailer
Just saw this over on the Hypebeast blog and wanted to share with you folks in the Kicks fam. I dig electro music. I've been up on Dev and the Cataracs for a long minute and I know they're gonna be huge stars. My boy The Mixshow Commander aka Saint Nate put me up on them from day one as he works with their label. Why is it then that I can't stand the Black Eyed Peas and their electro take on music? Maybe cause I knew them before they recruited Fergie... I knew them as the underground cats who put out Joints & Jam. Heck, even Weekends was more believable than what they're putting out now. But you know what, they're doing something right as they have been one of the hottest groups in the game for the past few years. Anyhow, if you're into the electro music scene, check out the trailer... you're gonna dig it.

Hi-Fructose 5th Anniversary Group Exhibition
One of my favorite artists will be showing her work at the Hi-Fructose 5th Anniversary Group Exhibition. Audrey Kawasaki is hands down one of the most talented, unique, and coveted artists of the moment. I don't doubt that she will be one of the most revered of our generation. Mark my words... if she isn't, I'll buy you an Ice Tickle and a bottle of Lucas.
The opening reception is Saturday March 13th and the exhibit runs until April 3rd, at the Copro Gallery in Santa Monica.

The Greatest Moments In Sports History (A Poster Show) @ Gallery 1988
Since I didn't grow up in LA, I can only imagine what it was like when Kirk Gibson blasted that homer in the 9th to clinch Game 1 for the Dodgers during the 1988 World Series. Come to think of it, I was still living in Kansas at the time! My earliest memories of California baseball came in the form of the Bash Brothers and the Battle of the Bay between the Giants and A's in 1989, a series which was infamous for the Loma Prieta earthquake that year.
You can see Mr. Gibson and more at The Greatest Moments In Sports History (A Poster Show), currently on display at Gallery 1988.

Ron Artest | Rhyme N Reason Charity Event
I posted these up a couple days ago and somehow the post disappeared. Anyhow, here they are again.
I had the privilege of shooting the boy, Ronnie Artest, at his 1st Annual Rhyme N Reason Charity Event and Concert to benefit Haiti earthquake victims and Homeboy Industries. I know dude is infamous for the brawl at Auburn Palace a few years back but that was then... the Ron Artest of now is a significant contributor to the Lakers current championship run.
He was nothing but a gentleman at his charity event. I caught some shots of him getting lined up prior to his performance.

Fatgums
Fatgums, a friend of the neighborhood (I swear dude cops every Jordan release) and a great friend of mine, was interviewed by the folks over at Chicharon Adventures.
I met Fatgums my freshman year at UCLA. At the time, he was a design major, one of the ILLEST graf writers I had ever seen, one of the ILLEST DJs I had ever heard, and the most humble person I had ever met. Fast forward to our third year in college... he switched majors from Design & Media Arts to Biology... pre-med. Fast forward a couple more years and he's now at UCLA Med School... fast forward a couple more years and he's producing critically acclaimed albums out of his studio apartment. Fast forward some more and he's now the man behind record label, Beatrock Music.
Where is he today? Check out the interview to find out. All I have to say is... move over Dre, there's a new doctor in LA.
